JAMinc at the National Folk Festival
Although not listed in the National Folk Festival schedule, JAMinc helped
sponsor four artists, one who appeared Saturday 10/8 and three Sunday 10/9 near
the Children's Museum of Richmond activities in the Children's Area.
Their music drew folks to the area where the musicians interacted with the
kids and allowed them to look at and even pick their stringed instruments.
Children's Museum of Richmond volunteers then helped kids make pan flutes.
The artists participating were:
Doug Cherrington (solo on banjo)
Charles Arthur (solo on banjo, mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and Hawaiian guitar)
Sheryl Warner and the Southside Homewreckers (prewar blues trio)
The Company Store (traditional string-band)
